Our first year with BCA
To misquote Dinah Washington, what a difference a year makes. The primary reason this role at the Bathurst cathedral exists is to provide an opportunity to train new clergy before they lead a parish on their own. After a year, I certainly feel better prepared to lead a parish.

A new partnership with Christian Surfers
Over the Easter weekend in 2023, Christian Surfers Australia hosted their annual national gathering on the Southern Beaches of Tasmania. As the local church minister, Dave Horne was asked to help, and gave the Easter Sunday talk before the surfers did their traditional ‘paddle out’ at dawn to form a cross as the sun rose. From here a new partnership has been forged between the church and Christian Surfers.

Bible 'Disco' in the Ridge
Tuesday nights in Lightning Ridge have become a special time of connecting and meeting with Christians and non-Christians alike. On the back of a Tuesday night prayer meeting, which brought the lost in the Ridge before God, the Bible Discovery Group, or Bible Disco for short, was formed.

Sister was leaving Melbourne for Cook and in due time her turn came at the booking office window. A long and impatient queue straggled behind her and on the other side of the window a harassed booking clerk searched through his reference books for the necessary details to enable him to supply a ticket to Cook.
