Our God is so big!
When George & Carmel Ferguson moved to Walgett to minister in the Barwon Special District Anglican Parish, they did so praying that young families would move to the area and be part of the community and the church. Four years on this remains their big prayer, but they are confident knowing that our God is big!

A new chapter for the Collings'
After over six years of service, Luke & Julia Collings, together with their children Bede, Tabitha and Silas, bid farewell to the town of Moranbah in mid-December 2023. While they were excited about their new ministry in Yass, they had mixed feelings about leaving the mining town, as well as BCA.

A new partnership with Christian Surfers
Over the Easter weekend in 2023, Christian Surfers Australia hosted their annual national gathering on the Southern Beaches of Tasmania. As the local church minister, Dave Horne was asked to help, and gave the Easter Sunday talk before the surfers did their traditional ‘paddle out’ at dawn to form a cross as the sun rose. From here a new partnership has been forged between the church and Christian Surfers.

Our first year with BCA
To misquote Dinah Washington, what a difference a year makes. The primary reason this role at the Bathurst cathedral exists is to provide an opportunity to train new clergy before they lead a parish on their own. After a year, I certainly feel better prepared to lead a parish.
