Malachi Walker

Serving with BCA since March 2025 (As Bursary Recipient in 2024)

After completing his theological studies with financial assistance from BCA, Malachi commenced as a BCA-supported Minister-in-Training at Geraldton Cathedral, WA in March. Malachi originally trained as a nurse but recently graduated with a Master of Divinity from Trinity Theological College in Perth.

Malachi is glad to have returned to the church he first attended, was discipled in the faith, baptised, and served as a Youth Group and Bible Study leader.

Pray that God raises up two people for MTS apprenticeships at the Cathedral next year.

Pray for current MTS apprentice Nathan as he enters his final six months, and prepares for college next year.

Malachi's Prayer Points for July 2024

The Cathedral cycles its focus each year through the themes ‘Reach, Build, and Live’ for Jesus. This month we transition our focus to ‘Build.’ Pray that over the coming year, God builds us up in love and unity.

Malachi's Prayer Points for August 2024

Pray for my role as volunteer chaplain to the local grammar school, and for fruitful pastoral relationships with students and staff. And pray that the school sees the value of chaplaincy and commits to employing one full-time.
