People in the bush matter profoundly to God.
That conviction has driven BCA for more than a century and continues to drive us today.
BCA is the go-to organisation for gospel ministry in the bush, connecting the needs of rural, regional and remote Australia with a nationwide network of prayer, generosity and support.
Our vision is for every person; First Nations Peoples and more recent arrivals alike, to have every chance to know Jesus.
From mining camps to small rural communities, from red dust to rugged coastlines, and from remote towns to growing regional centres, we long to see the lost found, disciples made and believers gather.
Because no person is too far. No town is too small. No community is too remote.

The One Matters
Australia is a vast and challenging mission field. Great distances, small populations and difficult conditions can make gospel ministry in the bush demanding and complex.
Yet when others step back or choose not to go, BCA pushes forward with the hope of Jesus. Not because it is easy or efficient, but because in God’s economy, the one matters just as much as the ninety-nine.
That conviction has shaped BCA for more than a century. It continues to shape where we go, why we go and why we stay.
Our Mission
Going the distance to share Jesus in the bush
For BCA, pursuing our vision means 'going the distance', both literally and metaphorically.
Sometimes that literally means travelling great distances and serving in places where geographic isolation is a reality.
But going the distance is about more than kilometres. It means long-term faithfulness, resilience, prayerful dependence, sacrificial generosity and a willingness to persevere in gospel ministry over time.
And we do not go the distance aimlessly. We do it with one clear purpose: to share Jesus in the bush.

What we long to see
As we faithfully pursue this mission, we long to see three outcomes take shape across the bush:
The lost found
We long to see people hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus through clear, compassionate and relational proclamation of the Gospel.
Disciples made
Jesus commissioned his people to go and make disciples. We want to see people across the bush trusting Jesus, growing as his disciples and being equipped to live for him.
Believers gather
Christians need one another.
BCA seeks to sustain and resource gatherings of God’s people across the bush, even where numbers are small and it may not be possible to place a gospel worker.
