Mike Uptin commenced in the position of QLD/NNSW Regional Officer in February 2021. He works together with Administration Assistant Sarah McKinnon to care for Field Staff, encourage support of BCA and keep supporters up to date.

The Queensland / Northern New South Wales Regional Office is located in Brisbane and supports the work of BCA across five Anglican Dioceses: North Queensland, Central Queensland, Southern Queensland, Grafton and Armidale. BCA has historically worked in all five dioceses and currently has ministry workers in four of them (NQ, CQ, Grafton and Armidale). Over 60 percent of the population of the region live in the southeast corner of Queensland.

  • Pray that we might all know the joy, peace, hope and love that are ours in Christ this Christmas Day.
  • Give thanks for 2025 with its ups and downs and pray that it has brought us all closer to Christ.
  • Give thanks that quite a few of the QLD/NNSW Field Staff, Office staff and bursary students are attending CMS Summer School at Mt Tamborine in early January. Pray for spiritual refreshment and mutual encouragement.

  • Give thanks for deputations earlier in the month to Munruben Church of Christ and Maclean Anglican Church and pray for a joyful time with the sisters and brothers at Sawtell Anglican church today.
  • Pray for a smooth transition from holidays to school for the children of our Field Staff and also for Sarah’s sons – Hugo and Reggie.
  • Pray for us as we get back into our regular routines after time off over summer.
