In April 2026 Marinus & Hannah van Meerten along with their children moved to the Diocese of Gippsland in Victoria to take up a Minister-in-Training role supported by BCA. Marinus & Hannah serve in the Parish of Bass/ Phillip Island with a particular focus on San Remo.

Marinus & Hannah love to share their hearts, lives and the Gospel of Christ with the poor, vulnerable and those on the margins of society. They desire to serve in under-resourced areas and seek to build deep relationships and strong community.

About San Remo
Bunurong Country

Originally a fishing village, San Remo is a small coastal tourist town in West Gippsland. Often referred to as the gateway to Phillip Island, it sits at the mainland end of the Phillip Island Bridge.

Pray that God would connect us to the people He wants us to reach early on in our time in the Parish so that we can nurture their faith. Pray for favour as we seek to build trust with our new congregation and learn to lead them.
