Serving with BCA from September 2025

Tom & Tanya Killingbeck and family move to Tasmania in mid 2025 to lead the faithful on King Island. BCA has a long association with King Island, which has been looked after by locums since the retirement of the Thiele's in late 2022.

“I believe that Tanya, our kids and I are in a good place to contribute to the mission of BCA, as we are fundamentally country folk, and we fundamentally believe the Gospel is urgently required in hard-to-reach places like the bush,” says Tom. “Tanya's skills as an early childhood educator will be a great asset on the island, and I have the training and experience to operate as a minister in a remote location as we've done such ministry before, although not as remote.”

Pray for us as we settle into a new community and adjust to the weather! Pray also for Tanya starting work at the childcare centre and for Tom meeting other Tassie ministers.

Pray for a growing community of faith. May we understand the needs of the community and where the church can be involved, through presence, participation and proclamation.

Pray that we end the church year well and look forward to the first season of Advent in a new community. Please pray for our kids to continue to settle into their new home.
