David & Margy Williams will move to Tasmania in September 2025 to lead the faithful in the Parish of West Coast Tasmania. Based in Queenstown, the parish covers Queenstwon & Strahan.
David & Margy have a passion to encourage the faithful to be more like Jesus, and to see people come to know him.
“We hope to make a contribution by being faithful to Christ and sharing his truth and love with the local churches and community on the West Coast of Tasmania,” says David. “I aim to teach God's word clearly and faithfully, engage with current secular challenges and equip the saints to love one another and engage with the world.”
The Williams Prayer Points for December 2025
Many locals claim to have faith. Pray that many will check us out over Christmas and be forever changed by what they hear and see.
Even three more regulars in our little churches can make a massive difference. So why not pray for ten more!
There are a lot of older, lonely men here. They've lived hard lives, and/or are out of work. Pray as we plan some blokes’ barbeques.
The Williams Prayer Points for January 2026
A community in pain; mental scars, abuse, poverty, loneliness and anxiety. Ice holds many prisoners. Families are ripped apart. Help never comes. But our new church sign proclaims hope. Hope in the Son who sets free. Pray many will be set free by the Son.
Almost nothing exists here for school children outside of school hours. We would like to run a kids club in Strahan during the October holidays. We hope to recruit skilled leaders from other churches. Pray for the planning.
The Williams Prayer Points for February 2026
On 21 February I will be ordained as a priest. Pray that this process will reap fruits in godliness and faithful ministry.
Give thanks that we serve with a Bishop and colleagues dedicated to serving and proclaiming Christ. What a joy that is!
