David & Margy Williams
Serving with BCA since September 2025
David & Margy Williams moved to Tasmania in September 2025 to lead the faithful in the Parish of West Coast Tasmania. They are based in Queenstown but the parish covers both Queenstown & Strahan.
David & Margy have a passion to encourage the faithful to be more like Jesus, and to see people come to know him. “We hope to make a contribution by being faithful to Christ and sharing his truth and love with the local churches and community on the West Coast of Tasmania,” says David. “I aim to teach God's word clearly and faithfully, engage with current secular challenges and equip the saints to love one another and engage with the world.”
About West Coast Tasmania
Lowreenne and Mimegin Country
West Coast Tasmania is a remote, rugged region renowned for its untamed wilderness, ancient temperate rainforests, and rich mining heritage. Queenstown is a mining town, Strahan is a harbour town. The Williams are based in Queenstown, which is 41 kilometres from Strahan and 248 kilometres from Hobart.
Pray for the Willliamses
April
There are lots of lonely men in Queenstown since the local men’s shed closed. We now have a few good men in church (Thank you Jesus!). Pray as we seek to get a men’s group together.
May
There are no kids’ activities in Strahan. We hope to launch a kids’ holiday club in October. We seek help from able leaders from other churches. Pray for these plans, and that this event may kick-start a Sunday School.
