Serving with BCA since January 2025

Those of you who have been BCA supporters for some time, will remember that the Piper family served with us in Lightning Ridge from 2013–2019. Since then, the family has served in Gunnedah in the Northwest Slopes Region of New South Wales.

While both David & Joanne grew up in Sydney, they really enjoy working in the bush and are keen to serve in remote locations because of the great need there.

We're excited to be here in Emerald and Blackwater; getting to know the congregations and the towns, and looking forward to working with them to sow the Good News and grow fruitful followers.




The Piper's Prayer Points for December 2025

Pray that the restarted evening congregation in Emerald will develop a strong culture of caring for new and unchurched people.

Pray for doors to open in Blackwater for connection with a local school and families.

The Piper's Prayer Points for January 2026

Pray for wisdom in planning who to visit (sick, elderly, absent, farmers, inquirers), what to say, and people to join with the visiting.

Pray also that the nursing home service will encourage and equip the elderly.

Pray that we will always be conscious of our purpose in church services, pointing people to Christ in an accessible way.

Pray that the church family will go out of their way to welcome and include others.
