The Langmead family moved to Lightning Ridge in early 2020. Kurt & Bec have always loved sharing their lives and the gospel with people in places that others might miss. They count it a privilege to serve as a family in Lightning Ridge. Together with their local church and wider network of supporters, they prayerfully seek to be “Building Christ’s Church – in the Ridge, on the Rock” – that is, the solid rock of Christ and his word.
Lightning Ridge is a town in northern New South Wales near the southern border of Queensland, about 740 kilometres south-west of Brisbane. The population estimates range from 1500 to 7000 people and locals are very multicultural. Opal mining and tourism are the main industries that support the economy.

Give thanks for the 10-12 ladies who came along each Monday night during Term 3 to Bec's 'Women in the Word Together' training on reading the Bible one to one.
Pray for our Diocesan Synod being held right now (27–29 September).
May our Diocese continue to honour Christ and His word and cherish and ‘contend for the faith’ once for all entrusted to us (Jude 3).
