Glen & Beth McDonald, along with their children have lived in Roxby Downs since December 2018. Glen is the Minister-in-Charge at Roxby Downs Christian Community Church. His main role is to encourage the saints of Roxby Downs, Andamooka and Woomera in their faith and equip them to promote the gospel. Beth enjoys sharing the gospel both within the church and the community.

Roxby Downs is a mining town in South Australia, about 560 kilometres north-west of Adelaide. It has a permanent population of around 4500 who come from around 40 different nations. Almost 1,000 fly-in fly-out (FIFO) or drive-in drive-out workers can be in town depending on shifts at the mine. The town was purpose-built for Olympic Dam, a mine that produces copper, uranium, gold and silver, which is located 16 kilometres to the north of Roxby.

Pray for our partnership with the Holy Trinity Network. Pray for Glen as he preaches at Holy Trinity and for other opportunities to build gospel partnerships while in Adelaide.

Pray that those who have joined our church this year will be settling in, building relationships, and be empowered to serve.

Pray for wisdom for our kids' church regarding equipping leaders, particularly in the short term with most of the team new to leading children's programs. Pray that the team's hearts will be softened to allow God to work through them even in their weakness inspiring them to give it a go.

Thank God for the opportunity to present a seminar on Evangelism at last week's Clergy Conference. Pray that God will use this seminar to build up his kingdom and equip the clergy with a heart to see the Good News of Jesus proclaimed and impacted in people's lives in their local communities.

Pray that as a church we will delight in our church family and build each other up in faith.
