George & Carmel Ferguson

Serving with BCA since February 2018

After spending two years as an Aboriginal Ministry Trainee in South Tamworth, George Ferguson moved to the Barwon District Anglican Parish (Walgett/Collarenebri) in January 2020 to serve as Vicar. George & Carmel thank God for the opportunity to spread the good news of the gospel to people in the district.

The Barwon Special District Anglican Parish encompasses the towns of Walgett and Collarenebri. Walgett is a town in northern New South Wales, 691 kms northwest of Sydney. In 2016, the town of Walgett had a population of 2145.Collarenebri is a small town situated on the Barwon River approximately 75 kilometres northeast of Walgett. In the 2016 census, Collarenebri had a population of 650.

Give thanks that we now have a team in Walgett to help with our Kids’ Club.

Give thanks also for our Synod and pray that wise decisions were made for our Diocese.

Please pray for the AEF Family Camp at Condobolin on the October long weekend.
