After spending two years as an Aboriginal Ministry Trainee in South Tamworth, George Ferguson moved to the Barwon District Anglican Parish (Walgett/Collarenebri) in January 2020 to serve as Vicar. George & Carmel thank God for the opportunity to spread the good news of the gospel to people in the district.
The Barwon Special District Anglican Parish encompasses the towns of Walgett and Collarenebri. Walgett is a town in northern New South Wales, 691 kms northwest of Sydney. In 2016, the town of Walgett had a population of 2145.Collarenebri is a small town situated on the Barwon River approximately 75 kilometres northeast of Walgett. In the 2016 census, Collarenebri had a population of 650.

Please pray for our NAIDOC service to be held on 13 July and also for our election of parish Synod reps on 27 July. Pray for our Walgett and Collarenebri kids’ clubs as we reach out to the youth in our communities.

Please pray for our AGM and the election of parish councillors; that the people elected will be godly and living according to God’s Word. As we go on annual leave; pray that God will keep us and bring us back refreshed.
