The Kyngdons have lived in the Pilbara since December 2017 where Roger is the Minister in Charge of the Parish of Newman. Together with their children, Roger & Amanda make connections in the church and the local community and spread the good news of Jesus.

Newman is a mining town in the heart of the Pilbara. It is a very young and multicultural town of around 3,000 people and additional fly-in-fly-out workers. As Newman is quite isolated from surrounding towns, there is a real sense of community in town. There are lots of children but few teenagers, as high-schoolers usually go away to boarding school.


The Kyngdon's Prayer Points for December 2025

Give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate and share the Good News of Jesus at Christmas. Pray that gospel seeds will be planted in the new people who come to church events.

Pray for farewells as church members leave; may they find new churches.

Pray for a good break from school and regular activities and for safety in travel over January.

Pray for new members to join our church and be willing to serve alongside us in our ministry.

Pray for church members to grow in their knowledge of the word of God.

Please pray for a good start to the school year, especially for Eliza as she starts her last year of primary school and Abigail as she starts kindy.

Pray for newcomers to town; may the church welcome them well.

Please pray that God will grow our church.
