WELCOME

Topher & Chica Hallyburton along with their children Daniel and Laura have moved to Darwin to serve with BCA and Scripture Union. Topher is an RE (Scripture) worker and will teach classes, train volunteers and link churches with primary schools.

James & Brittany Daymond have joined BCA as Field Staff in Narromine, Central West New South Wales. James will be involved in an evangelistic ministry reaching out to those who don’t yet know Jesus.

Our new Indigenous Ministry Coordinator Neville Naden & his wife Kathie have relocated from Broken Hill to Dubbo. Neville and Kathie seek to support Field Staff ministering to Indigenous people and to encourage Indigenous Christians.

 

CONGRATULATIONS

Brian & Ali Champness were ordained as priests on St Andrew’s Day, 26 November 2016 as St Saviour’s Cathedral in Goulburn. Nathaniel Naden was married to Philippa Yeats on Thursday 5 January 2017 at St Thomas’ Church in North Sydney.

FAREWELL

Gary & Nikki Alexander along with Thomas and Tobias finished their time as BCA Field Staff in Kununurra at the end of 2016 and are now exploring new opportunities in the Kimberleys.

Dusty Boots Coordinators Rob & Jenny Stubbs and Beth Hazell have concluded their service with BCA. Rob and Jenny have settled into life in Gerringong and Beth is transitioning to retirement from her work at Penrith Anglican College.

After serving BCA in Blackwater and Moranbah, Stuart & Katherine Haynes along with daughter Christina have moved to Bega in New South Wales. Katherine is working as a Chaplain at Sapphire Coast Anglican School and Stuart is the Families Minister at St John’s Bega.

After 13 years in Tasmania serving in the community of St Leonards Launceston, Irfon & Barbara Griffiths have concluded their ministry and moved back to Sydney to be closer to family.

Joel & Hannah Hill along with their children Amy, Finnegan, John and Albert have commenced work at Coast Evangelical Church in Taree after serving in Roxby Downs for two years. Joel has taken on the role of Church Planter Apprentice.

Bishop Gerald (Ged) Bruce Muston (19 January 1927 – 10 January 2017) was a copy boy and cadet with the Daily Telegraph before commencing study at Moore College. He was Rector of Christ Church Cathedral, Darwin and Archdeacon of the Northern Territory before becoming Federal Secretary (National Director) of Bush Church Aid from 1969–1971. He was an Assistant Bishop in Melbourne before being appointed Bishop of North West Australia. Married to Laurel (deceased), Ged is survived by his children Margaret and Phillip, their spouses, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Audrey Chambers (passed away 1 November 2016) served BCA with her husband Ross (deceased) in Ceduna from 1959–1962. She is survived by Ross Jr and Pam, Megan, Neil and Jayne, Elizabeth and Stephen, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
