Greg Harris - National Director
I’m pleased to announce that The Revd Canon Dr John Warner has accepted the role of BCA SA/NT Regional Officer.
John and his wife Geetha have four adult children – Aiesha, Aaron, Jaya and Ella.
Born and raised in South Australia on a dairy farm, John moved to Adelaide to study medicine after finishing high school. It was during his work as a medical intern in a large city hospital that John was saved by God, “God ‘shirt-fronted’ me with my own mortality and self-centred existence,” he says. After sharing with a work colleague, she invited John to investigate Jesus for himself at her church, Holy Trinity Adelaide. In the coming months John learnt the gospel and accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and saviour and that work colleague eventually became his wife.
John trained at Moore Theological College and was ordained in the Diocese of Sydney in 2003. Before accepting the role with BCA, John has worked as an evangelist, pastor and church planter with Holy Trinity Adelaide. More recently John has been recruiting church planters with Geneva Push Church Planting Network, working as Canon Evangelist in the Diocese of The Murray and as the Locum at Trinity Church Mount Barker.
BCA has a proud history in South Australia and the Northern Territory. The Senior Officers and I look forward to working with John and increasing the support and ministry of BCA in the SA/NT region. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for John who commences one day a week from next month before increasing to four days in 2021.
Please join me in welcoming John & Geetha to the BCA family.
