Introducing our new NSW/ACT Regional Officer

Greg Harris – National Director

I’m pleased to announce that The Revd Paul Sampson has accepted the role of BCA NSW/ACT Regional Officer.

Paul and his wife Cathy have three adult children – Marsden, Anastasia and Geneva.

Born and raised in Gunnedah in country New South Wales, Paul became a Christian in his early twenties after being invited along to church in Wollongong where he heard the Gospel clearly preached.

After completing a degree majoring in Industrial Relations and working in the field for many years, Paul was invited to undertake a two-year ministry apprenticeship program (MTS) at St Matthias’ Paddington and Campus Bible Study (University of NSW). He graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity and Diploma of Missions from Moore Theological College in 2001, was ordained a Deacon in 2002 and a Presbyter in 2004.

Since commencing in ministry, Paul has worked as a Rector of two parishes, CMS Missionary in Kenya (2010–2016) and most recently as a Senior Assistant Minister at St Swithun’s Anglican Church in Pymble. Paul also serves on the boards of CMS NSW/ACT and Arden Anglican School, as well as on the Safe Ministry Board.

“As a follower of Jesus, I have the joy and responsibility to proclaim Christ to all nations and disciple His people and have spent the last twenty plus years doing that in various contexts on a full-time basis,” says Paul. “Having grown up in the bush and worked cross-culturally, I have some insights into the challenges faced by those seeking to live and minister in remote and regional areas. BCA is strategically positioned to have an incredible impact for Christ. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of this ministry.”

The Senior Officers and I look forward to working with Paul and increasing the support and ministry of BCA in the NSW/ACT region. Please pray for Paul & Cathy as they finish their time serving in Pymble and commence with BCA in early 2022.
