Introducing our new Field Staff at Nungalinya College

Greg Harris - National Director

In exciting news for the start of 2021, BCA will support the ministry of the new Anglican Dean of Nungalinya College, The Revd Ruth Walton.

Ruth and her husband Lee moved to Darwin from Canberra in September. She looks forward to using her experience in teaching and ordained ministry to work in remote Australia, continue to learn and explore new horizons.

Originally from Birmingham in the United Kingdom, Ruth grew up in a Christian family and a supportive church, which encouraged her involvement in ministry from an early age. After graduating from university she married Lee and they had four children – Hannah, Sam, Tom & Peter. The family emigrated to Australia in 2000 after a very tangible sense of God’s leading.

In Australia, Ruth has completed a Certificate in Christian Studies, a Bachelor of Theology and an Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry & Theology. She has worked in youth ministry, children’s ministry, as a Deacon, Chaplain and Priest Assistant.

“I am passionate about working with others to help them know and apply God’s word for themselves,” says Ruth. “I long to introduce others to the love of God and then actively seek to assist them to increase in faith, their knowledge and understanding of God and to comprehend the relationship with God that is possible for all of us through the death of Jesus.”

Please join with me in welcoming Ruth & Lee to the BCA family.
