Regional Officer South Australia/Northern Territory

The Bush Church Aid Society of Australia (BCA) invites mission-minded applicants for the position of Regional Officer for South Australia/Northern Territory   

Preferred commencement date ­– Mid-late 2020

Depending on the skill set and/or availability of the successful candidate, the position will be either part-time (0.8) or full-time.

BCA, an evangelical mission agency ministering within the Anglican Church throughout Australia, is seeking a leader who has a passion for mission plus gifts in communication, networking, pastoral care and mobilising volunteers. The nature of the task requires the person to be flexible, energetic and motivated. Self-management and administrative abilities are essential.

The successful applicant would be based in Adelaide and required to travel throughout the region, both in SA and the NT. They would be licensed by the Archbishop of Adelaide, other Diocesan Bishops in the region and be subject to the Faithfulness in Service code for clergy and church workers.

Coober Pedy, South Australia

The Anglican Diocese of Willochra and Bush Church Aid are seeking an ordained Anglican minister for an exciting pastoral position. It is fully stipended and includes accommodation.

Coober Pedy is an iconic outback community of over 1500 people located 850km north of Adelaide on the Stuart Highway. It is a major tourism and service centre, best known for underground opal mining.

The ministry encompasses the underground Catacomb Church as well as mining chaplaincy at the nearby Prominent Hill site. The congregation has a long-standing commitment to solid teaching. There are many opportunities to reach out to the community and to tourists who visit the underground church

Cloncurry, North West Queensland   

The Anglican Diocese of North Queensland and Bush Church Aid seek a suitable ordained Anglican Priest for this fully stipended position.

North Queensland is an extraordinarily beautiful and diverse Diocese which extends from Sarina (south of Mackay) all the way to the Torres Strait Islands and the PNG border. Most of the population live on the Pacific Coast, but the Diocese also goes inland all the way to the Northern Territory border. Cloncurry has a population of around 2900 and is located about 780 kilometres south-west of Townsville. It is a regional service centre and local industries include cattle-grazing and mining, as the area is home to some of Australia’s largest copper deposits.

To be appointed you must be an Anglican Priest in good standing and hold or be eligible to hold a Queensland “Blue Card”. The Diocese ordains women clergy. Reach Beyond Kununurra WA

Since 2003, Reach Beyond has been transmitting from our Broadcast Facility in far north Western Australia, to the Asia Pacific region through shortwave radio, and currently broadcasts programs in some 30 languages. Reach Beyond is part of a global community committed to seeing Jesus known and loved among all people. We are currently looking to fill the following position.

Accommodation & Building Maintenance Coordinator – Kununurra, WA

Based at our Kununurra facility in the beautiful Kimberley region of Western Australia, this position would ideally suit a married couple (although this position could be managed by an individual).

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accommodation facilities, including the accommodation block and caravan area, welcoming and assisting visitors and volunteers, and overseeing all aspects of visitor accommodation including associated administration.  Basic handyman skills would be required.

Reach Beyond is looking to fill this position with someone who has a heart to serve and a sense of adventure. Ideally, the candidate will be self-funded or in a position to contribute to their own support.

On-site housing and utilities will be provided.
