Changes on Kangaroo Island

Greg Harris - National Director

After nine years on Kangaroo Island, Brad, Joh, Jemima, Gabriella & Evangeline Henley are concluding their service with BCA. Brad has accepted the role of Associate Minister at the Anglican Church of Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

In his new role Brad will have a particular focus on the congregation of Peregian, a church plant from 2015. This centre seeks to engage with young families who have settled in the surrounding newly established suburbs.

The Henleys last Sunday on the Island is 5 September 2021 and they will commence service in Noosa at the beginning of Term 4 2021.

“There have been so many encouraging things about serving with BCA on Kangaroo Island,” says Brad. “People on the Island have been engaging with God and the Bible through personal contact with us, in groups, and in courses. We have been so encouraged by BCA supporters from right around the country who make contact with us and pray for us and are so thankful for their partnership in the gospel.”

“Brad and Joh have served BCA tirelessly for nine years and will be greatly missed,” says National Director Greg Harris. “I have particularly appreciated their energy to reach out to the next generations on the Island while faithfully caring for the long-term members of the church.”
