ANNOUNCEMENT: Two more ministies to be supported in 2026

Greg Harris – National Director

BCA is returning to the Diocese of Bunbury in Western Australia where we last served in the 1950s. After Easter 2026, Scott & Eilidh Thomson together with their children Anna & James, will serve in the Parish of Augusta & Margaret River.

The Thomson familyThis is a return home for Scott who grew up in Margaret River and first heard about Jesus there. He’s been a Christian since his late teens. Scott has a Bachelor of Theology from Trinity Theological College and has served as a ministry trainee and lay assistant minister. He is currently based at St Lawrence’s Anglican Church in Dalkeith where his main areas of focus are leading the 5pm congregation and young adults’ growth groups, as well as overseeing youth ministry.

Eilidh, who was raised in a Christian family, has had a relationship with Christ since she was a young child. She is a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and works as a junior medical doctor while she completes further study to extend her qualifications.

Scott & Eilidh look forward to serving God in Augusta & Margaret River. “I believe that my family and I can help BCA bring the Gospel to the smaller towns of WA as we have the background and skills to minister in smaller towns,” says Scott.

Co-teachers at Nungalinya

Nungalinya College co-teachersIn other exciting news, from the middle of 2026, BCA will support Nungalinya College so they can employ Indigenous co-teachers. Nungalinya’s vision is to equip Indigenous men and women for leadership roles in both churches and communities. One of the most critical components of Nungalinya’s success in recent years has been the involvement of Indigenous teachers. These educators bring invaluable lived experience, cultural understanding, and unique perspectives that are essential in creating a learning environment that is both culturally respectful and biblically grounded.

BCA’s support means that five or six Indigenous trainers will come in for four to five weeks of teaching per block. Annually, approximately 30 Indigenous trainers will work as co-teachers alongside other qualified teachers. These co-teachers will be drawn from a variety of clan and language groups.

Please join with me in praying for these two exciting new ministries. May God be glorified through the Thomsons and the work at Nungalinya.
