I am pleased to announce that Mike & Emma Welham together with their children Zachariah, Oliver and Eliza will join the BCA Community in 2025.

Mike is currently the Assistant Minister at Geraldton Anglican Cathedral, where he has served since the start of 2021. He has a Master of Ministry from Trinity Theological College in Perth.

The Welham family will move five hours further north to Carnarvon where Mike will be the Minister-in-Charge of St George’s Anglican Church, with responsibility for Shark Bay.

The community of St George’s has been cared for by a variety of locums for the past five years and are looking forward to having a full-time minister lead the parish. Mike & Emma are excited for this next chapter for their family.

“I visited there with my family for an Easter service in 2022 and was so encouraged by the faithfulness of the folk, who continue to meet and make the Gospel known in Carnarvon,” says Mike. “I am excited at the prospect of serving these people, and the community of Carnarvon (and Shark Bay) as their rector.”

“Being well acquainted with regional Western Australia, our family is excited to partner with BCA in reaching its key priorities,” says Emma. “We love Jesus and love people.”
