| Heathcote is a highway town of 3000 people with a growing emphasis on wine making and tourism. The Heathcote parish is part of the Bendigo
Diocese. Together with Axedale, they are highway towns, picturesquely nestled amongst the Great Dividing Range of the
Heartland region of Central Victoria. Axedale is located next to Lake Eppalock. The church at Axedale has re-opened after being closed for 5 years. A small congregation of 15-20 enjoys the activities of all age contemporary worship around a shared meal together. Ian and Nancy live in Heathcote and minister in the parish. Ian is also Chaplain for the Police and Rural Ambulance Victoria. Ian and Nancy have been in ministry together since meeting in inner city Melbourne in the early 1970's. Married for 32 years, Ian was ordained in 1982 in the Bendigo Diocese and has had a ministry across both city and rural areas serving most of his time within the Bendigo Diocese. Their daughter Ruth and family live and work in the slums of Phnom Penh, – Ruth as a Speech Pathologist /disabilities, David with the ‘Street Kids’ and Abby sharing her books about Jesus! Their daughter Naomi works part time as a medical scientist while studying at Bible College Victoria. Ian and Nancy's pastoral ministry has involved marriage education and inclusive age worship. Nancy works for the Bendigo Health Care group as Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant for the Loddon/Mallee region. Ian & Nancy Married for 35 years. Sunday Service times:
