The Nadens’ have been in Broken Hill now for a little over a year. The work has been slow but there are many encouraging signs. They have started an indigenous church service on Sunday evenings beginning at 6pm, as well as have started this year a small group that seems to be growing, for which we praise God. They have a good number of young people who have formed a youth group which meet every Friday night. They have recently started a celebrate recovery program. This program helps people who are struggling with hurts habits and hang ups. This too is proving to be a good thing. Please pray that all that they do and say would be God honouring and useful for progressing the Kingdom of God. Pray that they would know God’s wisdom and would trust Him in all things.

The position is a joint appointment of the Church Army, the Uniting Church of Australia and the Society. The Church Army and BCA each will contribute 25% and the Uniting Church Congress, the remainder. The Society has particularly focused its support to the establishment of ministry and programmes which arise from substance abuse. This was a significant and successful part of Neville’s ministry at Mount Druitt.

Neville with Kathryn and two of their children moved to Broken Hill in mid-January 2007.
