From the middle of nowhere to right in the thick of it

At the end of February, Matthew and Naomi Johnson will bid a fond farewell to the town of Newman and move to the inner city location of Redfern. They state that their move to Redfern is moving to “greyer and noisier pastures”.The Johnsons

The Johnsons have been in Newman for four years; years of fun and adventure along with a fair share of heartache. They ask that people keep praying for Newman, a town that really needs Jesus, and for Christians who have a lonely battle there.

It will be a big adjustment for the Newman’s, leaving behind their quite country life and coming to the hectic Sydney suburb of Redfern. Their quest for the lost will continue however and God will use equally use their gifts in South Sydney as in the Pilbara.

The Johnsons praise God for their time in Newman and ask for prayer in settling in to their changed lifestyle and location.

Matthew Johnson’s induction at St. Saviour’s Redfern will be held on Tuesday 16th March.
