Turvey Park/Tarcutta
A 45 minute drive from Wagga Wagga, Tarcutta is a town of 300 people and lies halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. It shares ministry resources with Turvey Park. The church at Tarcutta is committed to outreach but lacks young members. For the last few years a summer mission team has run an annual outreach. St Paul’s Turvey Park, also committed to outreach, is much larger with two services in English and one in Sudanese.
Rev James and Mrs Skye Coats
Having grown up in Canberra, James Coats moved to Sydney to study at Bible College. He now lives in Wagga Wagga and finds it much more like home. He and his wife Skye have two young daughters and work in the Canberra Goulburn Diocese as BCA Co-Workers. James studies at St Mark’s National Theological Centre and ministers at St Paul’s Turvey Park; one of four Anglican Churches in Wagga-Wagga. He also regularly travels about 50 kilometres to Tarcutta, a town of just 250 people, where he is building a youth group.
