North West Australia Seasonal Ministry Support

When living in Broome, Michael and Joan Maude had ties with the local caravan park and noticed many of the campers became bored. “You can’t do tours, you can’t play golf, you can’t swim, and you can’t drink beer every day,” says Michael. “So they sit around the campsites with absolutely nothing to do.” The Maude’s decided there was ministry potential in the parks and in 2003 the Christ For Campers ministry was inaugurated. Each year the Maude’s and groups of Nomads spend June, July and August in a selection of caravan parks in the North West of Australia. Here they serve cooked breakfasts and deliver gospel presentations. Up to 200 people have turned out to single presentations, some of whom have responded to the gospel.
