Kallaroo
Kallaroo is a suburban, middle class area about 30 km out of Perth. It has a high proportion of young families, and a number of British and South African migrants. Many of the residents of Kallaroo are professionals who travel into Perth for work, though some also work in areas around the city or from home.
Rev Graeme & Mrs Rachael Middlewick
As an assistant minister at Church of the Resurrection, Kallaroo, Graeme Middlewick has a range of responsibilities. He looks after children’s ministry, takes couples through marriage preparation courses, meets one to one with congregation members, and preaches. Along with his wife Rachael, and two sons, Graeme moved to Kallaroo after his training in Geraldton. Graeme says he’s most excited about “the opportunity to reach out with the gospel”. “There’s a core group of people who are really behind gospel ministry in our congregation. They’re keen to serve and keen to see growth,” he says.
