North West Australia - MTA Geraldton

Geraldton is the 'cathedral city' and the the largest urban centre in the Diocese of North West Australia. A port city and regional service centre for WA's northern agricultural, mining and pastoral areas. It has a population, including suburbs of around the 30,000 mark. The Cathedral Parish covers central and southern areas of the city and agricultural areas to the south and east. It includes three centres of ministry: the Cathedral in Geraldton, the historic hamlet of Greenough and the rural township of Walkaway. It is a busy parish and provides opportunities for experience in a range of different aspects of ministry.

Jonathan is in a Ministry Training Arrangement and shares ministry with the Dean, Ken Rogers, and Mission to Seafarers' Chaplain. Jonathan shares with the Dean in Sunday and weekday services and pastoral ministry including, baptisms, funerals and weddings. Jonathan is additionally responsible for a monthly service in the historical hamlet of Greenough.

Jonathan finished up at the end of April 2004.
