BCA House Forbes will not be inviting students to
attend the Hostel in 2002. Previously known as St John’s Anglican
Hostel, the Society purchased the property from the Diocese of Bathurst
in 1996. We engaged in extensive renovations to comfortably accommodate
children from rural and remote Australia who needed to undertake their
education in a Regional centre.
With the recent advances in technology there has been a marked decline in the number of families needing a term time hostel to accommodate their children. We give thanks for our supporters who have given sacrificially for Hostel ministry. We give thanks for the House parents, Robert and Dawn Allen, Peter and Jenny Wilken and Kelvin & Annette Hill who have reached out to the students at the hostel with love, care and the message of the Gospel. Continue to pray that the hostel will be used for purposes that bring glory to God in remote, rural and regional Australia.
