Feel good from the inside out

On the 10-11 March we took a massage table, beauty products, a foot spa and lots of towels to give the women of Blackwater a bit of pampering at the local women’s expo. Over two days as we pampered we were given opportunities for some fantastic conversations. One lady simply couldn’t comprehend this sort of Christian kindness. Many others we believe were able to see that we were here to serve the community in a special way. It was our official launch of ‘Healthy Soul Ministries’ and a great success on many levels. One of the main reasons for the pamper table was to discuss the ‘Soul Fitness’ concept.

We have discovered that many women move here with their husbands and become very isolated, stressed and depressed. For mums getting back in shape after the birth of your child can be a challenge. At the expo I spoke to a 16 year old who said many girls at school struggled with their body image and doing exercise.

‘Soul Fitness’ is a healthy lifestyle program we are putting together that includes 30 min of exercises and 30 min of discussion forum and healthy lifestyle tips. It will be an evangelistic program and will aim to show the relevance that a relationship with Jesus has in being healthy from the inside out. We are excited about this and at this stage it looks like we will do 2 to 3 classes a week for up to 10 people at a time. Please pray for the high school girls and mums that have indicated they would like to be a part of it. Please pray that God uses this vehicle to bring many to Christ.
