The date - Saturday April 19th
The place - Bishops Court Adelaide
The day was warm and fine, the garden neat but dry
The smell of damper cooking filled the air, as the Bush Picnic began.
The people began to gather,
The chatter grew, the damper was consumed and then the races began.
There was gum boot throwing and plain old running and even egg and spoon
When this was done then lunch was on, all settled down for a feed.
They sat on the ground they sat in chairs while music filled the air.
A group called “Melaleuca” played much to the delight of all
The afternoon finished with a browse around the stalls to see what bargains abound.
The Archbishop said “Hi” and welcomed all to his home.
It was plain to see that all had a good time.
