Thank you Nomads!

Frank and Pauline Norton

Earlier this year Frank and Pauline Norton, BCA Nomads from Tamworth NSW, travelled to Winton to take care of our dog (Sallie) and the gardens. This allowed us to attend Synod in Rockhampton.

During their stay Frank made a bird scare out of drink cans to keep the birds out of the veggie patch. After fixing the mower he spent days mowing the property, which had a good covering of grass following recent rains. Pauline cleaned the Rectory windows, readied the church for the Sunday service and provided morning tea after it.

Hot on their heels came David and Sue from Glenbrook in the Blue Mountains. David brought a workbench for the Parish that he set up on the verandah of the old Rectory. He then went to work on the three buildings, making repairs to doors, furniture, floors and pews. It wasn’t all work and no play, as they did manage to take some time off to see the local sights.

Nomads’ ministry to the Parish and us has been greatly appreciated. Their assistance with many small jobs has allowed us much more time for other pastoral issues.

How lucky we are to have such wonderful people come and share their skills with us. May God continue to bless the BCA Nomads in all their endeavours.
