MATTHEW & NAOMI JOHNSON, with their two
children Ethan and Sienna have been appointed to Newman commencing early in 2006. They have exercised a very
fruitful ministry in the Parish of Kincumber for the past three years. Matthew has a great strength in making the
scriptures understandable and applicable to life’s situations. Naomi has a great ability in one to one ministry,
working with children, all coupled with a good singing voice. They have endeared themselves to the local
congregation of Kincumber and will be very greatly missed as they are much loved members. They
have now come to BCA, believing that the Lord is in this idea of their move to Newman. They have a good and growing
understanding of the challenges of that remote area; and are doing whatever is in their power to be better prepared
before they take up the position.
RON & CRYSTAL SPINDLER are both
Church Army Captains who will be taking up appointment with BCA in the parish of West Darling in early 2006.
They come from the parish of Caboolture in Queensland and have worked in parishes in
Canberra/Goulburn and Sydney Dioceses. Ron has a desire to see lives won for Christ and says it has been a blessing
and a privilege to see this take place. He hopes to further develop ministry skills and reach out into the
community with 'God at the helm'. Crystal has worked with Ron in parishes encompassing 3 Dioceses and was a
Nurse prior to training with Church Army. She sees her gifts in outreach, music, development of leadership and
administration and believes that she and Ron complement each other in their ministry role.
