MARK
& SANDY EVANS from Leigh Creek to Kangaroo Island, SA
The Society give thanks that it has been given the opportunity
to partner with the Diocese of Adelaide and assist with ministry on Kangaroo Island.
Mark and Sandy Evans have been appointed to the Island and
will commence their ministry during the last week of November, 2005. Since February 2002 Mark & Sandy
have exercised a marvelous ministry up and down the vast tracks of the Leigh Creek area. They love the
area and the people but have responded to this new challenge of an interim ministry. The task is to seek a way
forward with the Diocese and the Parish to turn the declining church around to become a viable expression of
faith in the Lord.
In the interim we give thanks for the ministry of locums –
Peter Linn, Alan Patrick & Ken Gilmore.
BOB & SUE WITTEN
– from Furneaux to mainland Tasmania
Bob and Sue have moved from the Furneaux Islands to take on
the Midlands Anglican Rural Community Development project within the Tasmanian Midlands. This project is a
partnership between the Mission Diocese of Tasmania and BCA, designed specifically to reinvigorate rural
ministries in mission and ministry.
Bob and Sue have had a very rewarding ministry to the
Furneaux Islands. They developed strong friendships and connections for the good of the Gospel; and
Bob’s rural background coupled with Sue’s connection within the hospital endeared them to those on the Island.
