APRIL BOTTOM SCHOLARSHIP 2009

financial assistance
towards tuition and/or boarding fees
Before
April Bottom’s death in 2003, she expressed a desire to assist families
from the West Darling Parish Region with the education of their children,
in situations where the children have to leave the region to acquire the
necessary education. The Scholarship of $7,000 is administered by
The Bush Church Aid Society of Australia in conjunction with the Late
April Bottom’s family.
Selection criteria
- Young person resident within the
Anglican Parish of the West Darling
(includes towns, areas & properties surrounding
Menindee, White Cliffs, Wilcannia, Tibooburra, Tilpa,
60kms west of Ivanhoe in NSW; & Cockburn SA)
- Undertaking secondary or tertiary education outside the Parish in 2009
- Possess a desire and the
potential to achieve, but not necessarily the
opportunity
